Leadership Opportunities
Cole County R-V School District values a growth mindset among our students and staff.
In the Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP) adopted by the Board of Education in December 2022, the planning committee designated Growth Mindset as one of our Priority Areas, so by the 2025-26 school year, 100% of certificated staff will demonstrate professional growth as measured by positive trend data in the district professional development tracking system. We want to develop leaders in education. How will we do it?
- Teachers that attend an out-of-district professional development conference will share a five-minute presentation at the next Professional Development Day. Sharing your expertise with other staff will make us all better!
- Share the Professional Development request process with all staff at the Back to School staff meetings. This will allow our staff to understand how to participate in professional development opportunities.
- Articulate Professional Development opportunities and provide substitute coverage for staff to attend Professional Development. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to be the best you can be.
Other opportunies for growth and leadership include:
- Sponsoring or coaching extracurricular activites
- Continous educational opportunties
- Serving on district committees
